TEAM: National Instruments (NI) is a test and measurement company known for their integrated hardware and software systems used by engineers around the world. NI recently rebranded and needed to simplify, building upon their existing identity with a visual language that speaks to their software capabilities.
Understanding their pain points and updates needed to their guidelines ensured the system could continue to be implemented and scaled easily by any employee.
Abstract UI elements and software graphics combine with industry photography to connect what they do with why they do it. The system acts as a flexible kit of parts, relating software challenges to product outcomes through overlays, tiling, and dimensional graphics.
In addition, a brand identity was developed for their annual NI Connect conference in Austin, TX. Entry points and transitional spaces were brought to life through immersive wayfinding, supergraphics, and activations that celebrate engineers.
Impact is something you feel, how it reverberates, explored through typography and material experiments like vibrating sesame seeds on a bass amp.
